Re:ANIME: Running; replaced Kuudere in May 2026

The best Re:ANIME alternative in 2026

Re:ANIME is the site that took Kuudere's place in May 2026. It runs at reanime.to, and it says plainly that it is not the original Kuudere.

The short answer

Re:ANIME works, and Kuudere accounts carried over to it. The original Kuudere is gone, the backup domains were reshuffled in late August 2026, and look-alike domains use the name. If you want a second site that stays at one address, Rotten Brains is free and needs no account.

What happened to Kuudere, and what is Re:ANIME?

Kuudere, at kuudere.to, joined FMHY's anime list on 4 October 2025 with sub, dub and auto-next. A second domain, kuudere.ru, followed on 13 October 2025.

On 10 May 2026 FMHY renamed the entry to Re:ANIME at reanime.to. A community post on Re:ANIME explains the change: the Kuudere people knew "is gone forever & won't come back", and Re:ANIME is a joint project of Kuudere and Anidream.cc, "not the original Kuudere". Accounts, watchlists and history carried over. The post gives no date or reason for Kuudere's end.

FMHY starred Re:ANIME on 15 August 2026. At the end of that month the domains shifted quickly: on 28 August kuudere.ru was replaced by reanime.cz and a status page was added, on 29 August reanime.wtf joined, and on 30 August FMHY added the official domain index and dropped the old Kuudere Telegram link. Its official domain index names reanime.to as the main address and reanime.cz and reanime.wtf as backups, and says "Anything else is fake." Look-alikes such as reanime.sbs show up in search results and are not on that list.

It is busy. Similarweb puts reanime.to at about #1,367 worldwide in August 2026, with 37.8 million visits over three months, up 18.58% on the month before. The same community post says new anime can take a while, because there is "only 1 person here to add anime".

Continue Watching at the top of the home page.

With a free account, every movie and episode remembers the second you stopped, on every device. Continue Watching sits at the top of the home page, next to what is new in the shows you follow.

You never need the account to watch. It only adds the memory.

Once it plays, the controls stay out of the way.

Every title is checked against several sources before you press play, and the player starts on the one that answers first.

If a source stalls, the player tries the next one and picks up where you were. You can still pick one yourself from the settings menu, with a note on which ones carry extra audio languages or subtitles.

Subtitles in dozens of languages

Dozens of languages, several versions of each.

Subtitles come from more than one source, so most titles have several versions per language. If the first one is out of sync with the video, the next one usually is not.

Many get lined up with the dialogue automatically when you pick them, and there is a delay slider for the rest.

Questions

What happened to Kuudere?

Re:ANIME's own post says Kuudere is gone for good and will not come back. Re:ANIME took its place in May 2026 as a joint project with Anidream.cc. No date or reason for Kuudere's end has been given.

Which Re:ANIME domains are real?

The site's own domain index lists reanime.to, reanime.cz and reanime.wtf, and says anything else is fake. reanime.sbs, which turns up in search, is not on it.

Why is a show missing on Re:ANIME?

Its community post says only one person adds anime, so requests take time. Rotten Brains has movies, TV shows and anime, with every season and episode listed and sub and dub where both exist.
