The best animepahe alternative in 2026
animepahe still runs, now at animepahe.pw. It has changed domains three times since September 2025, and in July 2026 a Belgian court order put its domains on that country's block list.

The short answer
animepahe is still up at animepahe.pw, but it hops domains often, is on Belgium's court-ordered block list, and offers hard subs only. If you want a backup where subtitles are picked in the player, at one address, Rotten Brains is free and needs no account.
What's going on with animepahe?
animepahe is known for small, hard-subbed "mini" encodes that play well on a slow connection, with some dubs and no login needed. FMHY links a popular third-party downloader and an "AnimePahe Improvements" userscript for it. It has been around a long time: in August 2021 TorrentFreak reported that attorney Corey D. Silverstein had filed a DMCA subpoena application targeting animepahe.com, which was then drawing more than 20 million visits a month, mostly from the US. It also ran on animepahe.org and animepahe.ru.
In March 2024 TorrentFreak listed animepahe among the sites in an Australian site-blocking application filed in November 2023 by Hollywood studios, Netflix and Apple. In June 2024 animepahe.com and animepahe.org appeared in a new round of DMCA subpoenas from ACE.
FMHY starred it at animepahe.ru on 7 August 2024. The link changed to animepahe.si on 16 September 2025 and to animepahe.com on 1 April 2026. On 10 April FMHY replaced a dead animepahe.si link, and on 14 April 2026 it moved the listing to animepahe.pw and added a "Some NSFW" note.
On 3 July 2026 a Brussels business court order added 113 domains to Belgium's block list, including animepahe.pw, animepahe.com and animepahe.org; TorrentFreak reported it on 17 July. When we checked on 23 September 2026, animepahe.pw answered with a Cloudflare browser check, so it is online, but that check can trip up some browsers and apps.

A look around Rotten Brains
Real screenshots from the site, in the order that matters most to someone coming from animepahe.
01
Subtitles in dozens of languages
Subtitles come from more than one source, so most titles have several versions per language. If the first one is out of sync with the video, the next one usually is not.
Many get lined up with the dialogue automatically when you pick them, and there is a delay slider for the rest.
02
Built for your phone too
The site works the same on a phone as on a laptop: the player pins to the top, the episode list scrolls underneath, and the controls are sized for thumbs.
Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen, like an app, with no store and no install.

Every season and episode, with Up Next
Shows open on a watch page with every season beside the player. The episode you are on is marked, and Up Next sits right above the list, so finishing an episode is one tap from the next.
Anime is here too, with sub and dub where both exist.
04
The player finds a working source by itself
Every title is checked against several sources before you press play, and the player starts on the one that answers first.
If a source stalls, the player tries the next one and picks up where you were. You can still pick one yourself from the settings menu, with a note on which ones carry extra audio languages or subtitles.
05
Watch parties with friends anywhere
Start a party from any movie or episode and send the link. Everyone who opens it watches the same second of the same video, with a chat alongside, and the player keeps them in sync.
Any free account can start one. Friends can join and watch without an account at all.
06
Pick up where you left off
With a free account, every movie and episode remembers the second you stopped, on every device. Continue Watching sits at the top of the home page, next to what is new in the shows you follow.
You never need the account to watch. It only adds the memory.

Questions
What is the current animepahe domain?

Why is animepahe blocked in Belgium?
A Brussels business court order dated 3 July 2026 added animepahe.pw, animepahe.com and animepahe.org, among 113 domains, to Belgium's block list. The site was also part of an Australian blocking application filed in November 2023.
Can I turn subtitles on and off on Rotten Brains?
Yes. Subtitles are not burned into the video. You pick them in the player from more than one source, in many languages, many of them auto-synced, with a delay slider if the timing is off.
