WatchSeries: Name in use, many operators

The best WatchSeries alternative in 2026

WatchSeries has never been one site. A site under the name runs today, but nobody can tie it to the WatchSeries people remember.

The short answer

A WatchSeries site is running today, but the name has passed between many operators, so there is no telling whether it has any link to the one you used. Rotten Brains is free, needs no account, and stays at one address.

Who runs WatchSeries?

Since the early 2010s the WatchSeries name has been used by many unrelated TV sites. Arguments over which one was real go back at least to June 2014, when WatchSeries-Online.ch said its .eu domain had been hijacked, while another party said a former employee had simply reclaimed a domain he held. In November 2014 watchseries.lt and watchseries.to were blocked in the UK.

watchseries.ninja launched in June 2020. ACE later said it had drawn 85 million visits with 10,000 films and 60,000 TV episodes, and in March 2022 announced it had shut the site down. TorrentFreak reported that only the domain had been suspended, and the servers did not seem to have been touched.

In May 2024 watchseries.mx moved to watchseriesx.to at the same moment as FMovies, Bflix and Sflix, with identical redirect notices. On 23 September 2026 watchseries.ninja was a for-sale page, while watchseries.show, the domain FMHY lists, redirected to watchseries.bar and loaded a WatchSeries homepage.

Once it plays, the controls stay out of the way.

Every title is checked against several sources before you press play, and the player starts on the one that answers first.

If a source stalls, the player tries the next one and picks up where you were. You can still pick one yourself from the settings menu, with a note on which ones carry extra audio languages or subtitles.

Subtitles in dozens of languages

Dozens of languages, several versions of each.

Subtitles come from more than one source, so most titles have several versions per language. If the first one is out of sync with the video, the next one usually is not.

Many get lined up with the dialogue automatically when you pick them, and there is a delay slider for the rest.

The site works the same on a phone as on a laptop: the player pins to the top, the episode list scrolls underneath, and the controls are sized for thumbs.

Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen, like an app, with no store and no install.
