The best Flixer alternative in 2026
Flixer is still listed as a top pick, but its main address has changed four times since mid-2025 and it did not load for us on 23 September 2026.

The short answer
Flixer is still running as far as anyone knows, but its main address has changed four times since June 2025, other "flixer" sites compete for the name, and it would not load for us on 23 September 2026, which may be temporary. If you want a backup that stays at one address, Rotten Brains is free and needs no account.
What's going on with Flixer?
FMHY, a popular community index of free sites, added Flixer on 2 June 2025 at flixer.su as a recommended site. It shares an entry with a sister site, Hexa, and its grading notes give the pair 18 out of 18. On 16 September 2026 it became one of FMHY's top picks.
Its main link has moved a lot. FMHY switched it from flixer.su to flixy.watch on 11 October 2025, to flixer.sh four days later, back to flixer.su on 2 March 2026 and to flixer.gd on 15 July 2026. flixer.cx and flixer.su were added back as alternates on 26 August 2026.
When we checked on 23 September 2026, flixer.gd returned a Cloudflare 522 error (the server behind it did not answer) and flixer.su did not respond. That was from one location, twice, and may be a short outage. Community reports from June and July 2025 on a down-detector page also describe servers down and videos not loading.
Many unrelated sites use "flixer" or "myflixer" in their names, which makes the real one harder to find when it moves.

A look around Rotten Brains
Real screenshots from the site, in the order that matters most to someone coming from Flixer.
01
The player finds a working source by itself
Every title is checked against several sources before you press play, and the player starts on the one that answers first.
If a source stalls, the player tries the next one and picks up where you were. You can still pick one yourself from the settings menu, with a note on which ones carry extra audio languages or subtitles.
02
Every season and episode, with Up Next
Shows open on a watch page with every season beside the player. The episode you are on is marked, and Up Next sits right above the list, so finishing an episode is one tap from the next.
Anime is here too, with sub and dub where both exist.

03
Pick up where you left off
With a free account, every movie and episode remembers the second you stopped, on every device. Continue Watching sits at the top of the home page, next to what is new in the shows you follow.
You never need the account to watch. It only adds the memory.
04
Subtitles in dozens of languages
Subtitles come from more than one source, so most titles have several versions per language. If the first one is out of sync with the video, the next one usually is not.
Many get lined up with the dialogue automatically when you pick them, and there is a delay slider for the rest.
05
Watch parties with friends anywhere
Start a party from any movie or episode and send the link. Everyone who opens it watches the same second of the same video, with a chat alongside, and the player keeps them in sync.
Any free account can start one. Friends can join and watch without an account at all.
06
Built for your phone too
The site works the same on a phone as on a laptop: the player pins to the top, the episode list scrolls underneath, and the controls are sized for thumbs.
Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen, like an app, with no store and no install.

Questions
Is Flixer down?
It did not load for us on 23 September 2026 (a Cloudflare 522 error on flixer.gd). That may be temporary or regional. FMHY still lists flixer.gd, flixer.su and flixer.cx.
What is the real Flixer domain?
FMHY lists flixer.gd as the main address, with flixer.su and flixer.cx as alternates. Earlier it used flixy.watch and flixer.sh. Other sites with "flixer" in the name are not on that list.
Can I watch with friends on Rotten Brains?
Yes. Any free account can start a watch party, friends join from the link without an account, and everyone stays on the same second with a chat alongside.
