EE3: Running; invite-only, movies only

The best EE3 alternative in 2026

EE3 is still running at ee3.me, also reachable as RIPS at rips.cc. It shows nothing until you sign up with an invite code, and it has films only.

The short answer

EE3 still works, but you need an account and an invite code to get in, and it carries movies only, with no TV shows or anime. Rotten Brains needs no invite and no account to watch, is free, has movies, TV shows and anime, and stays at rotten-brains.com.

What's going on with EE3?

EE3 was already a starred pick on FMHY, a popular community index of free sites, when that index's current history begins on 7 August 2024, listed as a sign-up-only movie site at 1080p, with rips.cc as a mirror. FMHY changed the quality note to 720p on 5 October 2024 and removed the star on 10 November 2024.

The star came back on 25 August 2025, when EE3 was added to FMHY's grading page with 15 out of 18. The grading counts no pop-up ads, a custom player and synced watch lists and history in its favour, and marks it down for having no TV or anime and little help for finding things beyond sorting. On 6 September 2025 the rips.cc mirror was relabelled RIPS.

Getting in has changed too: the invite code FMHY lists was replaced on 26 November 2025, so codes shared in older posts may no longer work. When we checked on 23 September 2026, both ee3.me and rips.cc sent visitors straight to a login page. Similarweb recorded a fall of about 24% in visits to both domains in August 2026.

The player finds a working source by itself

Every title is checked against several sources before you press play, and the player starts on the one that answers first.

If a source stalls, the player tries the next one and picks up where you were. You can still pick one yourself from the settings menu, with a note on which ones carry extra audio languages or subtitles.

With a free account, every movie and episode remembers the second you stopped, on every device. Continue Watching sits at the top of the home page, next to what is new in the shows you follow.

You never need the account to watch. It only adds the memory.

Shows open on a watch page with every season beside the player. The episode you are on is marked, and Up Next sits right above the list, so finishing an episode is one tap from the next.

Anime is here too, with sub and dub where both exist.

Subtitles come from more than one source, so most titles have several versions per language. If the first one is out of sync with the video, the next one usually is not.

Many get lined up with the dialogue automatically when you pick them, and there is a delay slider for the rest.

Questions

Why can I not get into EE3?

EE3 only opens after you sign up with an invite code, and the code FMHY lists changed on 26 November 2025, so an older code may no longer work.

Is rips.cc the same site as EE3?

Yes. FMHY lists rips.cc as the second domain of EE3 and has labelled it RIPS since September 2025.

Does Rotten Brains need an invite or an account?

No. Open a title and press play. A free account is optional and adds resume on any device, history and playlists, and Rotten Brains has TV shows and anime as well as films.
